PRIME FOR THE PEEPING
Peak is happening now! Check out our Top Trails for Fall Color blog post for where to get the best views in and around the ski valley. In late September we also set up a wilderness camera trap in this very spot from Kachina Vista Park to timelapse the changes down valley, which we hope to share come November on our Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to follow for a peek when it all comes together!
FALL IS IN PLEIN AIR
On a visit this time of year you may see plein air painters scattered along our highways or even the ski valley parking lot set up with their easels to capture the golden leaves as they shimmer in the autumn air.
Fine artist Pat Woodall has called Taos home for decades as a stroll in his gallery studio in town will immediately bring to life, surrounded by our seasons and woods in their true colors of light. The Raven on an aspen tree high in the mountains (where they are!) is a custom large oil on canvas he finished this summer. If you are looking for commissioned art this is the place for you! Check out more work on his website or better yet swing by in person at 122 Paseo Del Pueblo Norte in Taos, open daily 10am – 6pm.
